Peak Satin Black Tuxedo

Unlike the familiar shawl lapel suits, this one uses satin-faced peak lapels, with points that rise toward the shoulder, pulling the eye outward and broadening the shoulder line. It has one button, a neatly shaped body, two fine-jetted hip pockets and buttons at the cuff. Underneath goes a white shirt with a pleated front, paired with a slim black tie instead of a bow tie. Straight black trousers in the same cloth and glossy black leather shoes.

Wearing a tie in place of a bow tie makes this suit far more versatile: you can wear it to a wedding, and also to an evening party, a signing ceremony or an important meeting with a partner. If that evening you want to be correctly formal, simply return to the black bow tie and the suit goes back to the true language of formalwear.
