About this tuxedo
There is nothing to debate here: black from head to toe. The body is a smooth, slightly matte cloth and the peak lapels are glossy black satin. Two materials in one colour that reflect light differently, which is the finest point of black formal wear. It has one fabric-covered button, flush satin-jetted hip pockets, a straight white pocket square and a row of black buttons at each cuff. A red fabric flower on the left lapel is the only touch of colour.
This is the first jacket you should own. Galas, weddings, award ceremonies, black-tie dinners: it works for all of them. White shirt, black bow tie, black trousers, polished leather shoes. There is nothing more to think about.
The fewer the details, the more accurate the fit must be, because there is no pattern to hide a flaw.
