The whole suit is white, but up close the cloth is woven with a tonal check pattern that rises faintly in the light, a same-colour pattern visible only when someone stands close. The jacket has a medium shawl lapel, one button and flap hip pockets. Beneath goes a white waistcoat in the same cloth and a white tie woven with diagonal stripes, all in one tone. The trousers carry the same pattern, with a straight leg.

This is the suit for when you need to stand out among a whole group of guests dressed in black: a wedding, a launch event, a summer gala, or the role of host. Wear it with white shoes or light brown leather shoes and a white pocket square folded to points. A head-to-toe white outfit is demanding of the wearer, but when it fits well the effect is very strong.

Jacquard cloth requires the tailor to follow the weave when cutting, so that the check runs unbroken across the side seam, the lapel and the pocket flaps, and a slight mismatch is noticed at once.
