Silver Stripe White Tuxedo

About this tuxedo

A white jacket that is anything but plain: the front carries a vertical panel of black, grey and white stripes, set beside a large white-edged shawl lapel with black lapel tips. The fit is close with a shaped waist and a single row of buttons, and the sleeves are plain white so the striped panel becomes the centrepiece. White relaxed-fit trousers in the same tone, with a narrow black belt. Underneath goes a black shirt and a cream bow tie, three layers of white, black and cream stacked neatly together.

This is the suit for outdoor weddings, garden parties or wedding photo sessions, when you want to set yourself apart from the dark suits around you. The pairing in the photograph is already balanced: black shirt, cream bow tie, polished black leather shoes. If you want something softer, switch to a white shirt and a black bow tie and the suit immediately moves back towards the classic.
