Bronze Button Sheen Blazer

About this tuxedo

The black cloth of this jacket has a distinctive metallic sheen, lighting up in patches as the angle changes, closer to a silk blend than a plain wool. The peak lapels are cut narrow, clean and youthful, dropping to a single bronze-gold button, the only coloured detail on the jacket. The fit is close, the sleeves are cut short enough to show white cuffs, and the two flush jetted hip pockets keep the side seam perfectly flat.

As the photograph shows, this is a blazer you can wear in many ways: a black bow tie with a white shirt for an evening party, or without the bow tie, with the top two buttons fastened, over faded blue jeans and a brown leather belt for weekend coffee or a party with friends. One jacket, two lives.

Mon Amie makes it for you alone, without using a ready-made pattern: we measure the shoulders, chest, waist and sleeve length, then build the body of the jacket to exactly those figures. This sheen cloth is demanding on the cutter, because every seam shows clearly in the light, so the tailor checks each seam again. You try the fitting and we adjust until you are satisfied.
