This tuxedo wears a deep burgundy, the colour of ripe wine, striking in a crowd yet still measured. The cloth is smooth and flat, catching a little light at the shoulder and front, with a soft wool-blend hand. The accent is the pair of glossy black satin peak lapels, angled up toward the shoulder to give the chest a strong diagonal. The jacket has a single button, a wide V of lapel, two flapped pockets set in balance and small buttons closely set on the cuffs. The matching trousers have a moderately straight leg with a clear crease from thigh to ankle.
